This post for Garden Bloggers’ Bloom Day is a day late and a dollar short. If I’d been thinking clearly, I would have gone out on Monday to snap photos of the pretty signs of spring. Instead, Tuesday’s storm came blowing through, and I was left with icy, mushy, crushed daffodils. The hyacinths are still covered. The pear tree across the street which was in full, beautiful white blossoms on Monday is now covered in dull, messy, ugly brown dead blooms. Time will tell what will become of the other plants that were just beginning to come out.
Will these buds open up after this hard freeze?
Somewhere under there, there used to be hyacinths. Did they survive?
The daffodils were so pretty on Monday. Now a sad, limp pile.
So I’m going to share some photos that I took two weeks ago on a walk around the neighborhood. Spring had come, and now it seems to have disappeared again. Hopefully it will be back soon!
How about you? Did Old Man Winter arrive late to your neighborhood, too? Let me know how to find you so I can enjoy your pretty photos!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to have much more to show next month!
